The federal government is currently working on repatriation efforts for Canadians abroad. Flights are being organized in partnership with commercial airlines to return as many Canadians possible. Travellers who are showing symptoms of COVID-19 will not be able to board flights. Canadians abroad are being encouraged to register with Global Affairs Canada online to access a $5,000 loan to help with travel home. Canadians with COVID-19 symptoms will not be able to board an airline and once in Canada, all travellers must self-isolate for 14-days.
