In order to create immediate jobs in the provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced $1.7 billion to clean up orphan and abandoned oil wells. This is expected to help maintain 5,200 jobs in Alberta alone where Premier Jason Kenny predicted that unemployment could rise to 25%.
