India has extended its lockdown for another two weeks to curb the spread of COVID-19. The country has reported over 90,000 cases and 2,896 deaths among its 1.3 billion citizens since the outbreak. India went into lockdown on March 24, and flights, trains, educational institutions, metro services, restaurants, bars, cinemas, and shopping complexes have been closed since. Though many of these services will remain closed for the next two weeks, India says restaurants may now offer takeout services, sports complexes can host events without spectators, and private cars and buses can operate.
