In anticipation of vaccinations becoming ready in the near future, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced that his government has added syringes to the list of necessary items of COVID-19 supplies. There are lessons to be learned from Canada’s response to the initial outbreak in regards to personal protective equipment and the government wants to ensure that the maximum number of Canadians are vaccinated at the earliest time possible. There are several COVID-19 vaccine candidates around the world; however, there is only one trial that Health Canada has approved and its development is currently underway in China.
