First arrivals under UK quarantine rules: ‘They didn’t even check my temperature’

Beginning Monday, passengers returning to Britain will need to quarantine for 14 days, and will only be allowed to shop for essentials if they are unable to have others do it for them. Upon return, passengers will be required to fill an online form with contact and travel information, as well as the address of where they will be completing their quarantine. Public Health England will complete random checks on passengers in quarantine in England. 

However, returning passengers were surprised that Heathrow airport had no physical screening for COVID-19, such as temperature checks, with implementation of these new UK quarantine rules. In addition, passengers were told to avoid public transport to their final destination, but this is not an option for many.
